Downgraded on recent TUI flight - compensation?

I do feel for the OP though - at my height anything over 2 hours is extremely uncomfortable and gives me severe back and hip pain for several days after a flight.
Long haul I always book “premium” economy for that extra leg room and seat width.
Whilst the legal position is correct - it is disappointing, a flight that should be comfortable and pain free suddenly turns into an uncomfortable and painful experience0 -

Fortunately it's never happened (famous last words) - I would have to judge and deal with the situation if/when it ever happens
If you are 5' 8" and booked the extra space for a treat or because you can afford to then I'm sure its disappointing as well - but not to the level of causing pain/discomfort0
