Hi, i would be grateful for your thoughts. My mother in law passed away on boxing day last year and my wife and i are the executers of her will and have found that she took out an Appliance Insurance on her TV on the 9th of December some 17 days before she passed away. The Co providing the the Home Appliance Cover are Exclusive Home Services from Canterbury in kent. .A quick search on the internet shows that the Co was started in the Sept of 2020. My mother in Law paid £199.99 for 3 years cover and then passed away 17 days later. As executer am I able to reclaim any of the £199.99 ?. I have tried several times to contact the Co by telephone but have as to date no reply. How do I proceed ?

Are you sure its insurance rather than a service plan/warranty? Any links to online documents at all?
Whilst it is unlikely to get you anything back you could choose to report it to the FCA if you think its a scam Insurance and warranty schemes | FCA1 -
Do not ignore it. Her agreement may be on a recurring direct debit mandate. I would contact the bank used to pay the company and see is they could help you cancel it and get a refund.0
