Remortgage held up due EWS1 cover letter

Hi,
I am in the process of applying for a remortgage and the valuer has asked for the ESW1 form and cover letter. The form I am told is fine but he is questioning the cover letter and it’s been over 2 weeks to get any more information from the valuer about his requirements. I am now waiting for the underwriters to follow up as the are giving the valuer a grace period to get back to them. I have asked RICS if they have any examples of cover letters for the ESW1 purpose but they came back saying that they didn’t so I don’t have any guidelines to give to the company who did the EWS1 form.
The cover letter is on the company’s letterhead paper, it gives details of the Surveyors’s qualifications and is a RICS member since 1989.
Should I look to go with another lender the application is with the Mortgage Works (Nationwide’s BTL arm). I need to get the offer in place ASAP as this has been going on for 2 months now.
