            Morning all
Dry here for the moment but rain due later, OH is going to collect the shopping later a click and collect but will have to nip into another supermarket for a few bits you cant get in Aldi.
I have been craving fish for a while so have ordered two trout fillets (on offer) and some prawns so will do a pasta dish tonight which I do with onions and garlic and a bit of chilli and some cherry tomatoes cut in half and some capers,I cook the fish and prawns and mix together its really tasty and feels like a treat.
Had mum up for dinner last night she was a bit happier, she just needs the company I think, she is going to my sisters tonight and then back to us tomorrow for dinner, I have invited her to stay for a while but she cant manage the stairs to get up to bed.
House needs some attention this morning so will get on with that.

I thought I posted earlier, obviously not...... Morning, hugs if you need them, Dumpling glad to hear you are escaping back home. Its awful knowing you are going home, but having to wait for meds.
Chap from next door is putting new felt on the shed we bought 2 years ago, I really wish I had never bought it. it has been a nightmare.
A windy morning but not too bad, DB has been out, he is going nuts that cats have scratched out a lot of plants and also fouled a new piece of garden he had made. I think we are going to have to invest in some net tunnels to put over the beds, there is nothing worse than pulling something up and finding cat s*** on it. We have to clear the front lawn every week as well.
I have to sew two more rows of the quilt I am making together today, then two tomorrow then the whole things has to be sewn. I am hoping it will be finished for GGS's birthday next month.
I phoned yesterday about the bed I ordered before Christmas, They told me it was ready but they would not send it out as there was money outstanding. Well actually I knew that, I paid a 50% deposit when it was ordered. Had they phoned and let me know the bed was ready I would have paid the rest.......I am not Psychic........
Supper tonight gammon and salad, I have salad which needs using up.8

AOD - my persuasion technique was a loud 'tut' and the gallstones container chucked in the bin bag! The conversation about them went:DM - these need to be kept.Gers - what for?DM - just in case.Gers - just in case of what?DM - no response to thatGers - loud 'tut' and swift lob of containerDM - OK!I wish that other things are just as easy to get rid of, however, small victories count.Mono - many thanks. I miss my own place enormously whilst feeling the love of looking after DM. My abiding thought is that it won't be forever and I must make the most of this time with DM. I now charge her a fee for walking up and down the hall - two kisses each time, I will savour them.Cakes bought (too much again) and paper read. The rains are coming, need to hunker down.13

            Afternoon everyone
Little one has just been picked up by DD, she's going to her daddy's house for the rest of the day. She made a lovely picture this morning with glue and coloured shapes then we went for a walk in the fields next to us - she had a great time running about. Coming back home she was so excited when a bus passed us and the driver waved to her and beeped his horn. Unfortunately just a few minutes from home she fell hard onto the pavement, grazing both her hands and knees. She was heartbroken and screamed and screamed. Lots of cuddles and 'magic' cream helped, plus some little marshmallows. When I was settling her down for her nap I said she'd had an accident - 'me sore accident' she kept saying over and over.
So my day is my own now - I might ring eldest DD in Sweden in a little while. She has started packing and has her flight booked for 7th March - she flies to Frankfurt and then gets a train to Nuremberg. All depending on a negative Covid test of course. The company she will be working for is paying for her flight and train, plus storing and moving her belongings and the first month in a hotel. They also help her find an apartment and do things like open a bank account.
I think most of us a getting quite fed up with things now - I am lucky in that I can be in a bubble with DD and little one - I think I'd be quite miserable without her company and cuddles.
I have some washing out blowing on the line today; there's no sun but quite breezy so it should dry a bit.
Oh I found out yesterday that I have osteoporosis - I have to have blood tests and then speak to the doctor again and probably get supplements of Vitamin D and Calcium. I'm going to have to read up on it - does anyone have any experience?
Someone asked if turning 50 made you an adult - I'm 53 and feel much the same as I did when I was 23 - perhaps with a bit more sense though!
Well I'd better move - hope everyone is having a good day10

Dp1, I've got osteoporosis, and take a multi mineral supplement. Apparently you need magnesium to help the calcium work. I can't take the weekly bone former tablet because I have oesophageal damage already, and the bone forming tablet is an acid, but I have a bone forming implant injected twice a year . Hope this helps.
Dumpling , glad you're getting home, you'll be so relieved.
We've both felt a bit glum and down this week, I think we coped better with the last lockdown. Let's hope that the PM will give us some hope on Monday.
Tru, I do a lot of staring, both at fabrics and patterns, and card making materials, and don't always produce anything after a good stare, glad it's not just me.
Dp1, I didn't become any more grown up at 50, I'm 73 next week and as dopey as ever, don't know if there's much hope of change now. Hope your little dgd will be ok after her fall.

I too have Osteoporosis, I remembered that a close friend when diagnosed some years ago had great problems with the tablets causing stomach issues, so I immediately asked the consultant if I could have infusions as I have gut inflammation too, he immediately agreed and signed me up for 3 infusions One per year for 3 years, all easy peasy and doesn't take too long, and then sit for a while with tea/coffee and biscuits or a sandwich and off we go. Pre-Covid OH took me and stayed with me and got the refreshments too. Currently in possession of a letter putting the 3rd one on hold for a few months, while hopefully, the Covid situation improves.dp1 said:Afternoon everyone

Thank you both - I have IBS so I'm concerned about it being made worse - my doctor did mention a treatment just once a year, so that might be better for me6
