Still got some of this schroders public private trust remaining in my portfolio since the woodford debacle. Yes...i know!
Tiny proportion of my portfolio.
Anyone see anything of very long term value in its holdings? Or has all the 'good' stuff been sold off?
I will probably sell and add to my global index tracker but thought I'd see what others think.
I wouldn't buy it now with new cash but now I'm already in it I could keep it. Suppose it's too small a proportion to make a significant impact anyway....
Thanks in advance

Well there is your answer then.homestraight said:I wouldn't buy it now1 -
One of the first things the new fund managers did when taking over the portfolio was ditch the very worst stuff, like worthless sham company Industrial Heat. So the portfolio is in better shape now than when Woodford was in charge of it. However, if you don't wish to have an allocation to private equity, or do not believe this trust is the best option for exposure to the sector, there would be little reason to hang on to it.

I thought this was going to be about a reddit forum suggestion

This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."1 -
I wouldn't buy it now with new cash but now I'm already in it I could keep it.A general rule of thumb is that if you wouldn't buy an investment today, then you shouldn't hold it unless there is some tax or contractual reason for doing so.
