Trying to get a repair/replacement/refund out of Lidl - but they're trying to dodge it?

I have a problem with a LED strip bought from Lidl in November/December time. It no longer manages all of the colours it did when it was new.
I've reported this to Lidl who have referred me to a third party - they say my warranty is with them(!)
I've pointed out I don't think this is legal with reference to my consumer rights, that the warranty is between me and Lidl, not me and some random third party.
They have ignored this email.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Go into store with the faulty product and your receipt. Would be surprised if you weren't given a refund or exchange by the manager.

(your warranty is with the third party, but your consumer rights are with the retailer). Exercise your preferred option, they do get one right to repair though.

Warranty is in addition to your consumer rights. Lidl can put any terms on this they wish. If the term is you have to contact and deal with the manufacturer then that's what you have to do.
  • The problem with Lidl is that once an item is sold out, that's it & they're very unlikely to have more stock
