New garage roof or whole new garage?

As per the title, what would you do?
Current garage is old but in good, dry condition with wooden personal door, wood-frame window and measures 6m x 2.8m
The flat roof could do with repairing/replacing and we'd ideally like a bit extra height. We've been quoted approx £3000 to replace the roof with a slightly higher apex or mansard and then we'd also need to get new UPVC window and door.
Would it be more cost-effective in the long term just to get a brand new garage? Or does demolition and removal cost far more than anticipated?

What is the original garage made of? How big is it? I don't think anyone can meaningfully answer your question without getting sufficient detail!0

The garage is 6m x 2.6m, single skin brick built with a felt flat roof.
I just wondered if anyone else had ever chosen a new garage over a new roof with increased height.Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
If you are generally happy with the existing garage? Ie, could you enlarge its footprint or improve on it in any other substantial way if you replaced it? If not, it would surely be crazy to level it and start again? What's the outside finish - bare brick, block, render? You could even add to its wall height if that's what you need, and it should be reasonably easy to disguise (PP and stuff notwithstanding). If it's bare block or brick, then consider having it all rendered when done. Or a mix of render and 'weatherboard' cladding, such as PVC. You could make the existing garage look great for a fraction of the cost of starting anew.1

Visage composite doors - if you have one are they any good?
