hello all
keeping this short as poss.... my in law has recently just had a british gas smart meter fitted ! can she still switch around via cheap energy club etc or is the meter a problem

No problem - but it is possible that a new supplier may not be able to access it and manual readings may be needed (it is recommended you keep your own records anyway) You just need some actual annual consumption figures to enter in the comparison sites.
Has your relative had their first bill yet - check that the old meter has been removed and the new one added and that the readings have a letter A or S against them.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -
