Ebay, Karrot, Vinted, Shpock, Depop and the list goes on

I am looking to start selling items for delivery online as some items have not been snapped up locally on Facebook/Shpock/Nextdoor. However, there appears to be an obscene amount of buy & sell sites. I have an assortment of items (a projector, a coffee machine, guitars, varying quality clothes and various kitchen items) at various price points (from a of couple of quids to hundreds).
To state the obvious, I would like to avoid Ebay's 10% fee for at least higher priced items. Although admiteddly for niche items I understand it's likely most far-reaching to find actual buyers on there.
Which do you prefer to sell and/or buy from when it comes to what type of item?

Quite often (as this weekend) eBay have a 'max of £1' fees offer.
One problem to start thinking about is what postage will cost for some of the items vs their actual selling cost.0 -

Yeah, some items are certainly more for the donation pile, but due to the circumstances local places aren't accepting items at the minute.

I’m finding Facebook marketplace and specialist Facebook selling groups very good at the moment and suspect if things don’t sell for you on Facebook then it isn’t worth trying anywhere at all that charges you a fee. For my items that don’t sell I just offer them for free either on marketplace or on specialist ‘help’ sites, bag the items and just leave them outside when person collecting is due to arrive.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I didn't think to look in specialist groups on Facebook as only got local area type of groups I post to at the moment (figured with collection-only and cash on delivery that'd make most sense). Perhaps I need to curate some better groups!

10% fee that may advertise to 100 times more people that the other sale sites?Over 30% of the UK's population being active on ebay, thats a lots of views and potential buyersfor your items. Is that not worth 10% ?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...2

Yup. eBay is good value for money however much you end up paying.
For cheap items it's much easier as a buyer, and for expensive items I know that eBay makes it more likely to get the item (I had a good experience on Vinted, but am running at about 75% success on Shpock; their delivery scheme has made it easier for me to buy there but it's also easier for the seller to just ghost you), so eBay is generally where I stick to buying.
From a seller's perspective few items go unnoticed. Actual sales might vary from time to time and item to item, but they're not going unseen. Traffic is at least fairly well guaranteed. You do get what you pay for.0 -
Hello, I’m trying to contact Depop about a parcel I sent which hasn’t been delivered by the courier but there doesn’t appear to be a contact number to use. Does anybody know how to contact these people (hopefully a human being) as I’m just going around in circles. It’s not clear who is responsible, the courier or depop who supplied the postal address to the courier. Thanks.0
