Depends on your overall asset allocation strategy maybe a mix but I wouldn't constrain yourself to only those that pay monthly income when you get so much more choice including those that pay quarterly income.Aged said:So, is it better to invest in ITs than OEICs after 'retirement'?

Aged said:So, is it better to invest in ITs than OEICs after 'retirement'?It's not either/or. I've got both. Many IT's pay quarterly and haven't dropped their dividend for decades, though their share price can be volatile (but if you're not planning on selling, does that matter?).Take a look at their trade body The AIC and particularly their Dividend Heroes. Be aware that there are ITs for all sorts of niches, not just for nice smoothed income.
