Help please .. How do wire the plug as its got 4 wires and not 3??

What are you connecting the plug to?
What colour are the wires?
A photo would be good.0 -
The make & model of the appliance may help too.Four wires sounds like it might be three phase, so totally unsuited for a 13A plug & socket.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

If it's a bit of light industrial machinery designed to run on 3-phase, then you have no chance. It won't work without a 3-phase supply.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
