Best sites for buying wedding ring?

Hi, I lost my wedding ring last year and the insurance payout wasn't what I had hoped for. I had a 5mm very heavy (11g) platinum band and I've been trying to source a replacement for months now but prices vary wildly. I got the original a few years ago from adornaweddingrings.co.uk for around £600 but sadly they seem to not exist any more.

Why wasn't the ins payout what you hoped for was it new for old?
 Did you send receipts?
 How much sort was it to what you expected?
 Did the offer you more if you shopped in certain places?.....
