I would avoid 1st central at all costs. I took out a policy with them in Nov, due to start 6th Dec. I can't access the policy online so can't check its correct. They won't send a paper copy. On 17th Dec they started asking me to upload proof of no claims which I can't as the policy is not showing on my "account" with them. Emailed- no reply. Webchat - just got "I dont understand"messages. Spent 2hrs on the phone today, was asked LOTS of questions ( including my occupation in 2016!). It def felt like they were trying to catch me out with something. They then mixed up mine and my partners occupations. Now told if I don't upload my proof of NC by 31st Dec ( which I can't as the policy is not showing) they will be billing me an addtional £160! Apparently they have saved my card details! ( which I didnt agree to). So am left with a policy I can't access and a potential bill of £160 as they will set my NCD back to 0.1

Had something quite similar in 2023, paid in full for it.Woodywoodfield said:I can't access the policy online so can't check its correct. On 17th Dec they started asking me to upload proof of no claims
Days before start date they asked for documentation it wouldnt accept my legit driving licence being pink and green even though scanned and uploaded. Had to resort to other measures from DVLA assistance in this matter.
Next problems refused to accept my NCD, after many confrontations finally accepted with me having to go over board to extreme lengths.
I can still access after April this year though changed providers to an AXA owned who havent asked for NCD as yet. Will 1st Choice should time arise, who knows. Worst case got NCD ending Aug 2021 and they know i was with 1st Choice within the 2 year time frame to carry NCD on.
