I have a jigsaw board but don't like doing them on the table as I get backache from all the leaning forward. I use my extra high ironing board to rest it on but not much ironing ever gets done. I've not actually used it as an ironing board since the first lockdown in March 2020.

We don’t have an ironing board 😅 the odd time something needs ironed we do it on the floor or table, with a towel under.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Our ironing board is in the loft I think or we have given it away. The iron lives in the craft cupboard we rarely use it but when we do we use a towel to protect the surface.

And a few that are left are actually “needs” and just on there so I don’t forget to look for them in charity shops 😂 (eg summer clothes for the kids).Still on my list are strawberry and rhubarb crowns for the garden, 2x single bedsheets (the kids have but one each now, and for laundry ease I’d like two!), trainers for myself (not fancy designer trainers, just the cheap kind for everyday comfy footwear and if I do any exercise!) and a couple of books the library don’t have.2

I don’t have FB 😬 on the whole I don’t miss it, but it does make buying/selling/bartering harder! Will ask Red if he can have a look at the local bartering group.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Just had a bath, slightly extravagant as I also showered this morning 🙈 but I’ve been feeling chilled all afternoon and evening.I spent nearly an hour in the park after school, the kids were playing nicely with friends so I sat and read my book, but didn’t realise how cold I was getting sat still! Then it’s nearly a 30 minute walk home. A lovely, deep, warm bubbly bath has made all the difference and I feel cosy now 🙌🏼
2hr 47 mins outdoors today, and 53hr 14 mins for the year to date 🥳 I’m on my eighth book of the year too. No craft projects yet (though I’ve done a couple of repairs), but I have yarn here now to knit some baby dungarees.Meals today
B - instant pot porridge with brown sugar and apple
L - leftover fajita chicken rice
S - melon (kids had apples when I picked them up)
D - HM falafel & hummus salad wraps, kids had yoghurts after (I buy the cheap Tesco fromage frais, the creamfields one, they love them and they are so cheap!)

Hahaha you are too nice! I assure you I do lots of sitting on my bum reading and even watching TV 😉 which I don’t document on here!
Successful Friday, think I achieved everything on my list, with the help of Red, who got home from work at lunchtime and did the upstairs bathroom and hoovered upstairs.Had a lovely time with our friends, six children running riot in my house did somewhat undo our cleaning efforts 😅 but it was fun. Hot dogs, HM chips & corn on the cob for dinner.I finished the jigsaw which has been monopolising the dining table so we are now able to use it again! It was missing two bits, but as it only cost £1.50 from the charity shop I’m ok with that 😂
So far today I had a lie in this morning (the children are fairly self sufficient on weekend mornings now). Then took Monkey to football. Got the bus there (along with a bit of a walk at the other end) then walked all the way home which wasn’t as far as I thought, took about 45 mins. We stopped midway at the knitting shop so I could get some needles as I don’t have the right size for the baby dungarees. I like supporting that shop as it’s a lovely local small business, plus my friend works there.
Just been out in the garden for an hour, cleaning out the chickens and digging some more soil from their run to put in the vegetable planters. Red has promised me we can go for a walk once he’s done with what he’s doing (he’s still making those shelves - he was unhappy with the stain he used so had to sand it off to paint them).
As we are still car-less we can’t go a proper adventure so I offered the kids the choice of the canal, local park, playpark near nursery, the children’s wood or litter picking in our estate (all walkable options). Monkey has chosen to litter pick again 🥰😍 I’m proud of him, he’s taken a personal crusade against litter and always points it out now 😅
