Insurance v Teaching Union

Dear All,
I have been a teacher for many years now and over the last few years I have become disillusioned with the role teaching unions play.
I curently pay them almost £20 a month for their "service" and "benefits".
I have deicded that if I can I will leave the union I am a member of and take out an insurance product.
Problem is - what insurance product? Who offers the type of insurance I would need?
Maybe there isn't an equivalent.
If anyone can offer advice that would be greatly appreciated

If you clarify either what they do or what you want the insurance to do it would help.
Legal expenses on your home insurance covers a variety of legal disputes such as employment tribunals etc but wouldnt help you with your annual pay increase negotiations etc.1 -
Have you considered joining Edapt? They are apolitical and independent but a teachers union.1
