IVA sold on and they want me to switch from DD to CPA. Do I have to?

My IVA is in it's final year and it has been sold on to another IVA provider. I've always paid by direct debit but they want me to switch to recurring payment on my debit card. I'm uncomfortable with this and I think it is unnecessary if I have never missed a payment in 4 years. Can I refuse and stay on DD?

    I wouldn't like that either.

    I don't see what's wrong with a DD
  • I don't but they sent me an email inviting me to switch and that's changed to now you must switch within 14 days. I just need to know if I can refuse or not?

It won't be in the agreement that you signed that you have to pay by CP so yes you can refuse. Just make it clear that you are not refusing to pay as such and are happy to pay by a normal method like DD or SO
  • Oh that's great! Thank you so much!
