Hi
Hope all are and safe and well
I have seen the post on social network sites of friends on leave or furlough but in say Dubai and India when we are told not to travel but as well school study from home then how are they able to this and on return will then need to put up in hotels for 10 days plus
I am on furlough at present but remain at home but would love to go abroad as have had covid test and was negative in sept and have had the 1 jab would be able to travel to the same countries
Hope all are and safe and well

However much you might like to travel - you can't - regardless of tests and vaccinations.

so friends who are the above-meantioned places will get the full shock of staying in hotels at their own cost? on return from say Dubai or India0

Assuming travel to England, currently India is not on the red list so they would be required to isolate at home for 10 days getting 2 tests (day 2 and 8) UAE is on the red list so they would be in a quarantine hotel at their own cost
Red List countries could change at any time

Red list countries can change at any time.
Arrivals who have been in/transited through the UAE within the last 10 days are subject to a mandatory hotel quarantine.
Arrivals from India are permitted to enter, but are subject to a 10 day home isolation.
You are currently not legally permitted to travel for non-essential reasons, so whether you want to or not shouldn't be a factor in your decision making.💙💛 💔0 -
Being cautious is what I would recommend!0

Not sure exactly what your question is @aayush. Are you concerned about what your “friends” will do when they want to return to UK? Or are you looking for loopholes to enable you to travel abroad? If former why worry? Up to them to sort out and abide by the rules when they want to return. If second - forget it! Stay put, stay safe and save yourself the worry.0

Just remember if you're on furlough your employer can ask you return to work at short notice....a tad awkward if you're abroad or on quarantine!0
