Will payment be made before house sells?

  • Hi - sorry ive been on nights.
The deceased was a 98 year old lady. Never married, no kids or other family other than my aunt and mum.
She must of had a good relationship with the neighbours as the woman has been left the house and the husband is the executor and one of the 3 recipients of the rest - approx 70k each. x
  • The lady passed away in Nov and her funeral in Dec so the costs for that are already covered i believe.

I think youve all answered my question though really. The payments to my mum and aunt arent dependant on the house, however he might make interim payments in the mean time just to ensure all costs are covered x

yes if there is a reasonable amount in the estate (and it sounds like there is ) then he can make interim payments but withold some to pay for unexpected debts / bills etc
