British Airways (Avios) Blue Executive Club Membership

Hoping someone can explain the difference but more importantly the significance between the following two terms on my British Airways Avios points account:
"Membership year ends" and "Card Expiry Date"
Background:
I've had my BA account about 3 years now i.e. when Avios merged with BA and at the time i recall i had to convert some TESCO Clubcard points into Avios to keep the account open. i recall that if you don't do anything with your account for 3 years you lose the Avios points and to avoid this you just buy some more. With the recent change from TESCO to Sainsburys i was going to convert some points into Avios because its been about 3 years since i last looked at the account and i noticed my account had "Membership year ends" and "Card Expiry Date" listed under manage account but ive not a clue what they really mean (i did try to send a Twitter message to BA but clearly i wasn't speaking to a human but a computer algorithm which ignored my question but wanted my flight details and booking ref number (totally irrelevant).
Could someone help explain what BA mean by "Membership year ends" and "Card Expiry Date" please

Membership years run from the 9th - 8th in whichever month you original signed up. Could be Jan 9th 2020 - Jan 8th 2021, or Sept - Sept, etc. You have this period to earn tier points (not Avios) by flying on BA and potentially become Bronze, Silver or Gold.
If you earn a B/S/G status you’ll get a card (possibly a virtually one nowadays) which will be valid until the last day of the month after your membership year. (Validity is actually until the end of your current membership year plus a year - but don’t worry about that).
So if your membership year is Jan 9th - Jan 8th your card (or status) would be valid until Feb 28th.
For us Blues it doesn’t really matter - we just keep on rolling over as Blue for another year. And it isn’t really important for your Avios expiry - what matters is the date you last bought, earnt or used a point (more than 3 years ago and they’re gone).1 -
Thankyou so much, really appreciated. Simple and easy to understand.
FYI i just converted 400 Sainsbury's nectar points to 250 Avios and will keep the account up and running for another few years.
Thanks once again0 -
