Hi all
My daughter recently created a new outlook email address which she would need for this week. Unfortunately, she has forgotten the password to this account. We have been through the "recover account/password" form several times but it is stating she is not providing enough information. The form asks for recent emails and subject headers sent from the account but, as this was created and not used as yet, we have no information to give. The form then just states insufficient information given? All contact numbers for Microsoft take you through different options and end up telling you to go online to recover the password, which we obviously cannot do?
Any ideas? (She doesn't want to have to create a new email as she has sent out leaflets etc with the email address on them

This is Microsoft's general support line is. Tel: 0344 800 2400
After clicking "Forgotten password" she should have been asked for a mobile phone number and/or backup email account. She should have entered these up when the account was set up.If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.1 -

Thanks for your reply.
That is the number I have called several times, choosing a different option each time but I'm met with the same answer.... go online and complete the "recover account" form. This form asks for information which we cannot give as the account has not been used yet. She has been sent codes to her alternative email but it takes you back to the form..... we're going round in circles!
(ETA: she doesn't get an option to enter her mobile number)? If at first you don't succeed ........Alternative autism therapies should be free!!

Just create another account, rather than faffing around trying to get back into an account you haven't even used and won't actually miss.
