Do you think citizens advice will help? I posted the item back on 27th Jan via their free returns service, having received it on 26th Jan. There was no mark on the item to my knowledge and I’ve never had any return refused from any online retailer before.The request to forward my email to a manager has not had a response in 10 days. Thank you for any advice.0

Finally, just had an email of apology and told I will be refunded in 3-5 days. Thanks for the advice from each of you above. Common sense prevailed in the end.1
