Morning all. Weather is mild, whoopee,I will carry on cutting up the branches off the tree for the green bin next week, it's been a while since I've been outside properly. My calves were hurting yesterday fater just walking to the opticians and back..That's awful, I've become so lazy. No ring back from the architect. I'm beginning to wonder if we're on some kind of 'don't touch with a bargepole' list. I must have contacted at least 12 over the past year and a bit. Maybe it's just too boring a thing to take on and I should settle for a bloody concrete box. Might be time to say fork it and do it ourselves. OK,the universe is at work with serendipity and coincedence, they just rang, appointment booked, yay. I wonder if moaning about not winning the lottery will work now?
So general tidying and making pancakes will occur today [ we didn't have any yesterday] so I will do my best to not make a bomb drop in the kitchen.
Ruby, good to hear from you. To be honest, I think the councils are relying on people not knowing or making a fuss because it's just such a raw time no one is in the state to insist. I think in normal times, all the running around that has to be done stops you from thinking too deeply and by the time the funeral is done then, you have had a bit of time to process. It's just not happening with covid and lockdowns, the situation is made worse. Hugs from me. AOD, hope you're slightly less colourful today. Bella, when faced with a similar situation before, i e-mailed the CEO and complained directly tot hem about the time they were taking etc, and got it resolved in a couple of days. Sometimes it pays to not put up with the bull lumps. Hey nanny, I think I'm still being belligerent! I promise a nice cake eventually. You might laugh to hear that I put the grill on to make toast yesterday morning, late morning admittedly, and forgot the cake was underneath. When I removed it last night the topping had melted all over it making it look like a particularly bad piece of installation art, so unfortunately, it's going in the bin and I'll make you a new one...Hey all readers, put your glad rags on and boogie to the bins and back. Stay safe.

Morning all
Red Ruby - it must have been an awful day for you all x
I've just done a couple of courses for work and printed out certificates for some I've already done. Also finished sorting out the big wardrobe upstairs - most of it belongs to eldest DD, so is likely to be there for some time yet.
I'm waiting for a phone call if dad's hub arrives today - I'll have to go down and sort it. Also have an order to collect from Argos, but I'll wait so I can hopefully combine the two jobs. It's sunny here but vey windy so I don't really want to go out twice.
Little one will arrive about 3pm when DD goes to work - she'll be here till she goes to nursery on Friday morning....I'm ready for her company!
Hope everyone has a good a day as they can13 -
Morning
Totally tropical here blue sky sun and warm compared to last week (won't be long till till spa time)
bella thats awful. Keeping a cash stock is a good idea I guess but you really shouldn't have tp
taff What epic goth structure are you building now?
Ruby Shocked you can't get any help for the funeral. 57 ..so young
aod hope your feeling a bit better today
Usually state of nothingness here excitements will be the dishwasher and reading the meters for the bill (that will be painful)
Didn't have any pancakes last night as it didn't seem worth it just for me but seeing everyone eating them on tv I had a bottom lip moment so going to do some tonight instead. I can always use the leftovers for some yorkies tomorrow if need be.
Have a good day all12 -
Nelski you could always do a savoury one and a sweet one.9

Hello all, I'm a bit late but we have been to Dad's most of the morning. I've had a clean around and Mr Fix It has been trying to sort out some car stuff for him, insurance, green flag and MOT etc. He was a bit down this morning as it's the anniversary of DM's death so we tried to take his mind off things and cheer him up. He was happy that I'd taken up some of the pasta, some pancakes and a Vesta chow mein, he hasn't had a Vesta meal for ages it seems. We're home now and just realised we missed Boris today as he was in the vaccination center and we're going tomorrow, I have no affiliation with any party but I just wanted to see if his hair was as unruly as ever, I'm sure I could sort it outNot much else going on as I put some elastic in the sleeves of a fleece jacket yesterday, which was my task for today. The dw is on so I'll empty it when it's finished then that's my lot except for tea which will be SF chicken and chips. That's enough waffling from me for today.taff I'm glad I'm not the only daft one. I seem to put the grill on nowadays and then wonder why the oven isn't hot. Doh! wrong knob ! Both knobs...... me and the cookerRRuby sorry that they've said no to the money towards the funeral. Hugs to you and yours.bella what a to-do with the bank ! You'd think they would be a little flexible with the virus and it's problems about.Nelski apparently you can freeze made pancakes. I'm awaiting the call to arms the spa with baited breath, can't wait.TA hope you can get Sparkle sorted out without losing your handI'm sure there were more people I wanted to reply to but I've now forgotten, sorry.Take care all, stay safe and keep well.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently13

Good evening everyone 😄
well I am still in hospital but feeling quite a lot better. I spoke to the doctor this morning and I’m scheduled for a hysteroscopy on Friday in the theatre here and then all being well they might let me come home. My leg is slowly improving and I’ve been off oxygen for the whole day😀8 -
Glad to hear you are off the oxygen and hope the hysteroscopy goes well on Friday
Keep listening to the doctors and take care
Big hugs
