Velux Windows for Loft Conversion

We are planning a loft conversion and have identified the large Velux windows we’d like but they are pricey. The woman at Velux basically told us it would be cheaper to buy them from a supplier - can anyone suggest a good value supplier, please?

Are you fitting them yourself? There are plenty of other roof window brands other than Velux too. Any decent builders merchant will sort you out, except if you don't have a trade account you won't get a discount. Whereas your installer might and also be prepared to factor that into the cost of the job. Assuming that is, you aren't doing it yourself.

Even without a discount it can be cheaper from a dealer than directly from the manufacturer.Mutton_Geoff said:A Any decent builders merchant will sort you out, except if you don't have a trade account you won't get a discount.

When we had our extension we didnt have velux brand windows. My builder who is also a relative recommended a different brand. When the electrician connected them, they also thought them excellent. I will find out the brand and edit this post.1
