Removal of asbestos garage

I have a quote for demolition and removal of an asbestos garage, according to our old house survey it’s asbestos side panels and roof.
£850 seems unbelievably cheap to me but it’s hard to find a cost online.
I’m waiting on another couple of quotes so we’ll see.

Are you wanting rid of it? Just because it's made of asbestos it doesn't mean it has to be removed. You can carry on using the garage as long as the asbestos doesn't get disturbed.0

It’s leaking all over the place and needs replacing. We’ve been ‘making do’ with it since 1996 , repairing the wooden doors, window frames etc. It’s well past saving now.0

£850 doesn’t necessarily seem cheap to me. People hear the word asbestos and automatically think expense, but this isn’t always the case. Without seeing how much is actually needed to be removed, but it’s probably a days work for 2 people? That’s circa £400 to £500 including PPE depending on where you are the country, plus the disposal costs.See what the other quotes come back as, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they’re in the same ballpark.0

Sounds like it's falling down by itself and no harder than lifting away remains of an old shed.Ask how long they'll be?0
