This antenna is on the house we are buying. There is also a TV aerial. Looks like a radio ham or taxi company antenna but can anyone confirm if it might be anything important for a residential property??

I would guess an FM radio antenna?
Just an important bird perch now, I can't see why it would be of concern to you.1 -
It's used to attract aliens. You can tell from the glowing white UFO hovering in the sky just next to it.
It does look a bit like an FM antenna; they normally have more cross-pieces but if you google 'T shaped antenna' you'll see some that look more like this (but usually smaller).9 -
No the top one is the remains of a VERY old VHF band 1 tv aerial. It won't have been in use for 50 years now, but nobody has paid anyone to go up and remove it, and several bits have already fallen off it.The U shaped thing is the remains of a more modern UHF tv aerial that has also started to fall to bits, that is know as the "trombone" that used to support the now missing aerial. If you want peace of mind, get someone to go up and remove it all. Safer than waiting for it to fall down on it's own one day.P.S where is it, it looks awfully familliar to me in Easter Ross.1

Its a VHF TV aerial with a few of the elements missing
Basically from the days of Black and White broadcasts
A neighbour of mine still has one on their chimney as well

Thanks everyone! Brilliant answers thank you. The house has been completely refurbished (including new TV aerial), this is just the street view from a few years ago which handily showed the aerial. We will definitely remove it.
It's Moray Coast @ProDave0 -

'What is this antenna?' . . . . old and knackered! Looks like there's also a bracket for a missing UHF Yagi.Perhaps the Moray coast weather has done its thing over the years0
