Missed payments before DRO

So, I stopped making payments towards my debt at the end of January when I started the process of getting a DRO and I'm receiving a lot of phonecalls already. I have pretty severe anxiety so just don't answer but I've checked who they're from. Anyway, my DRO is about ten days away from me making the payment of £90 but I'm really stressed about these missed payments, will it all be sorted before anything escalates or should I have made payments, which honestly I can't afford.

Sorry for the rambling, I'm just so on edge about it all 😕😬0

Best thing to do is try not to worry, block the numbers from calling if you have a phone that allows the function.
If any calls get through or you're unable to block any calls, answer them and just tell them you're currently seeking debt advice and name the organisation and will be entering into a DRO
Don't worry about the payments, not much debt collection activity will happen and it's good you haven't made the payments as if you pay some debts but not others this could be seen as preferential treatment of one creditor over another. The collectors can call all they like, but once the DRO is granted the calls will stop within a short period of time, once granted all you need to do is inform the creditor of the DRO number and that the Insolvency service will send them the details
Hope this helps2 -
I'm a huge worrier and this process has caused a lot of anxiety but it's almost done so hopefully I can relax a bit soon 😬😬😬0

There's nothing they can do in that timescale and dave is right - if you make payments now you risk 'preferential payment'
I always say the best way to treat them all equally is to pay them all nothing.2 -
Thanks for the reassurance, I feel a bit better, I've just been so stressed as before this I had been going without pretty much everything to make sure I didn't miss a payment because it scares me so much but I know this was necessary, I couldn't carry on like that.0

Try not to stress, debt collection can take years, nothings going to happen in such a short timescale.

Don't worry about it. Just block the phone calls for now and once the DRO is approved the contact from creditors ceases pretty quicky. I got my DRO in September and apart from a Letter Before Action from one creditor I've had no contact whatsoever.
