Weak security on router

I don’t know what has happened. Error showing weak security on router.  Wpa/Wpa2 tkip is not considered secure and should configure the router to use wpa2 aes or wpa3.   Husbands iPad on same WiFi is nit showing this message.   Which update shall I use. Thanks for any help.

Ipad2.  I’ve checked how to do it on google and it says go into advanced settings on router but where will I find that?

I think it’s since the update 14 on iPad

Tell us what your router is and someone will know, be as specific as possible eg make/model

You'd need a router that supports WPA3.  However the iPad 2 may not support it, so you may end up in a situation where the pad's software tells you to set up something that the pad itself doesn't support:

Perhaps not surprising considering the iPad 2 is best part of ten years old now.

The OP has installed iPad OS 14 so isn't going to be using a 10 year old iPad. It's possibly the iPad Air 2.

Unfortunately the OP is a bit light with details.

WPA3 isn't needed, just WPA2/AES. I had this on my nephew's ipad. I don't recall exactly what I changed and it would be different on your router anyway. What router do you have?

I do know a lot of Virgin Media customers have had this with their Apple devices.
