Honestly, I don`t think your going to get a full response to this matter, there was a time when a dedicated complaints manager would write to you with an in-depth detailed analyses of your complaint, and what they have done to rectify matters, these days however, what with the effects of covid-19, staff still working from home, and a massive backlog of complaints to get through, this is about as good as it`s going to get I would say.

We are on a variable - there was no rate change when the monthly payment changed - the difference equates to about 1K over the term.... hence my suspicions and concerns. Problem is this has gone on so long I am sick of it , I intend paying off fully when I know it has definitely been rectified0

Just need to revisit this , please can anyone with a mortgage head explain the following ?
Customers concerns about an increase in the contractual monthly payment (CMP) .
Mortgage team confirm we previously capitalised prepayment of £3617.49 on the account in error. This lead to the account going into arrears and payment being recalculated incorrectly to a lower amount of £287.48 . This capitalisation was later reversed to the correct amount of £617.49 which lead to the increase of CMP to £312.67.
I have also received info from Barclays that proves many other customers suffered as a result of this ....
thanks0
