I want to change my text alert settings but I can't find where to do this in online banking. Can anyone point me to where I can find this, or do I need to ring (I hope not!)?

Alas sadly I think you are right

However I think you might be able to send message using the online banking and contact us, might work. I havent tried this though.1 -
I received a text on Friday asking if I still wanted to receive my early morning text alert. If not, I should text OPTOUT to their given number.
I receive a weekly alert with my transactions not early morning alerts and this text was from a different sender called firstdirect instead of the usual FirstDirect.
I am suspicious that it may be some sort of scam.0 -
I received this too. Don't think it's a scam. Have been sent previous texts from firstdirect (rather than FirstDirect) when there were BoE base rate changes for example.RG2015 said:I received a text on Friday asking if I still wanted to receive my early morning text alert. I just phoned First Direct and they said that the text was genuine. They also said that they do not have an online text alert management service. All amendments need to be by phone or by secure messaging.0
