Early upgrade then ditch?

So I’m in contract with EE until 28th April and I intend to terminate it then. But, they’re offering me a ‘fee-free’ early upgrade from 28th Feb. Can I take a SIM only deal on 28th Feb, then cancel within the 14 day cooling off period and in theory, terminate much sooner than 28th April? 😃

There isn't usually a cooling off period with upgrades, only new contracts. So probably no.0

The whole idea of the upgrade is so you stay with them so it's pretty unlikely that they'll give you anew phone and then just let you walk away, the new phone will be conditional on you renewing or extending your contract. They don't give 'owt for nowt'Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
