EDF payg

I was on a prepaid key meter and I wanted more freedom. So I got it changed to a smart meter, but doing that’s the moved me over to payg which they offer no deals on. Only fixed and variable rates are offered. When I look in comparison websites the only deals that they offer a full prepaid. None seems to offer smart pay as you go. Can anyone please give me advice.
Thank you

You obviously didn't compare using 'Which? Switch'.

No I didn’t be because that wouldn’t work. They only of a prepayment not pay-as-you-go as an option to compare.

prepayment is payg, it's just what edf use to differentiate between normal meters and smart meters, you just have to choose prepayment and smart meter on the comparison sites.

or just phone them up and have the meter switched to credit mode if you want better deals, you can still pay in full monthly, make interim payments as thought you were topping up, cash / cheque or whatever suits you.

it'll all be done remotely on a smart meter, just call, they'll setup the new credit account and within an hour or two your meter will be remotely switched over and you'll be free to move to any other supplier on a credit basis or stay with the expensive EDF
