Land Registry first registration processing time

I bought a house last year which completed in Feb 2020. The property wasn't registered with Land Registry prior and had to go through first registrtion.
However, a year has passed and the property is still not registered online yet. I asked my solicitor and he said he said the application is still with Land Registry to process and there's severe delay due to covid.
Does anyone else has similar experience? Is it something I should be worried?
Thanks!

No, it doesn't matter in the slightest how long it takes.1

unless you are planning to sell in which case your solicitor can ask the LR to expedite the application.davidmcn said:No, it doesn't matter in the slightest how long it takes.

No reason to worry - as above, it doesn't matter while you're happily living in the house and if you needed to sell the process can be expedited.
We completed on a new-build in November 2019 - a few months before Covid kicked off - and there were already delays then, which got worse. We received our paperwork in November 2020, so it took about a year but it will have got longer since then.1 -
I think when I bought my new build 5 years ago it took over 6 months, so I'm not surprised it's even longer now due to the plague.1
