1 - American Express Platinum cashback card

I would say:
1. American Express Platinum Everyday CC
2. NatWest Reward CC for 1% cashback in all supermarkets.
To avoid the £24 annual fee on NatWest Reward CC, get their Reward current account as well and earn another £3 monthly reward on it.Personally I'd avoid the Natwest reward card as its an extra faff having to open a reward account just to make it worth while for rewards. Its easier to open a Barclaycard rewards card, yes cashback is only 0.25% on all purchases. Unlike the Natwest rewards there are no fees abroad – you’ll be able to withdraw cash from an ATM or buy your souvenirs without any charges and benefit from Visa’s competitive exchange rate. There is a 0.00% fee on all cash withdrawals.Which Natwest rewards card charges a 2.75% on foreign transactions and 3% on cash transactions.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
I see people setting up new current accounts just to get access to linked saving accounts, so why not do the same thing for credit card perks.
1% vs 0.25% - at annual spending of £5000, thats £50 cashback versus £12.50 . Plus another £36 per year just for having 2 monthly direct debits on that reward current account. It's a good travel CC, maybe the best, but as a reward card it's pretty poor.
