Sonos Beam owners...?

I have one of these and I've noticed that sometimes there is no sound.
I'll come to it and the light on the top of the soundbar is green which I believe to mean mute. I'll run (for example) Netflix through the 4k FireStick and press the volume button and there'll be nothing.
Some times there'll be no sound when the light on the top is white. Again i'll press the volume button and there'll be nothing.
To change this I'll have to change the input to the BT TV box, turn that (the BT box) on, press the volume button - volume will come on. Then change the input to the 4k FireStick and voila there'll be volume.
Obviously i'm wanting to cut out the need to fire up the BT box for no reason and instead just hit volume and it'll work. Why doesn't this happen?

I believe so. It's plugged in to HDMI 2 of this TV https://www.panasonic.com/uk/support/discontinued-products/televisions/tx-58dx750b.html which I was advised to do by a member on here.thevilla said:I have a Beam and haven't experienced this. Have you checked in the 'Sound Settings' to make sure the correct source is selected?
Are you using the remote supplied with the beam to control your volume?
Not familiar with that TV but it's probably some weird Vierra anomaly.
Mine just comes on with the system, whatever the source, I have it connected to a Samsung TV.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

I'm embarrassed to say, I don't know why I wrote that. I'm recovering from the dreaded Covid, so will use that as my excuse.JustAnotherSaver said:Yours came with a remote???

I'll take a look at sound settings on the TV remote and see if it differs when it starts acting up. I don't know why it would randomly change though. I could go on now and it'd probably work. Go on later and it may not. Have only noticed it acting up with the 4k fire stick plugged in to HDMI 4 which I turn off when not in use. Maybe that's a factor, I don't know. Always seems to work with the bt TV box.
Hope you're on the mend.0
