Sunday Times Where Was I? competition

The prize:

The winner and a guest will stay at 57 Nord, a boutique hideaway for two in the Scottish Highlands, on a three-night weekend or four-night midweek break, self-catering. The property, which sits at the edge of Loch Duich, blends Scandinavian design with Scottish craftsmanship and has amazing views of Eilean Donan Castle and the Kintail Mountains. Floor-to-ceiling windows let the light flood in, while the luxurious design allows you to concentrate on the joys of slow living: there’s a fire pit outside, a wood-burning stove in the living room, and a deep, stone bath for your evening soak. Exploration is essential — over the bridge to nearby Skye, up to the wild Applecross peninsula, perhaps, or onto the magnificent Torridon Hills.

The prize includes a 57 Nord welcome hamper featuring locally sourced goodies such as hot-smoked salmon and venison salami. It must be taken before December 1, 2022, excluding July, August and public holidays, subject to availability. Once the booking has been made the date of the stay cannot be changed.

A £250 good housekeeping deposit will be taken ahead of the winner’s stay. The deposit is fully refundable on return of the property in its original condition. If damages occur and the good housekeeping deposit is not sufficient to cover such damages, further payment will be deducted from the card used for the good housekeeping deposit.

The winner will be sent a list of house rules prior to check-in, which they are expected to abide by while they are at the property. Such rules relate to property usage and health and safety issues.

57 Nord operates a no pets and no smoking policy.
