Would landlord insurance ever want to speak to the tenant, with a landlord insurance claim

Any claim will be complicated by the overlapping insurance policies.

Presumably the 'landlord's insurance' in question is a buildings policy, not contents.

This therefore duplicates the freeholder's block buildings policy.

So the two insurers could

a) spend ages arguing about which should pay out and/or in what %

b) disagree over validity of the claim

c) disagree over liability/blame ie one might wish to pursue a 3rd party for causing the damage, the other might not.
