Share of freehold director query

My neighbours have sold their property which is a 50% share of freehold with mine also. The new owners are moving in, do I need to set the previous owners to resigned on the limited company used to manage the freehold or should the sellers solicitor do it? I haven’t been kept in the loop but it’s not updated on companies house yet.

I am assuming you are also a Director?
A) Have they actually resigned yet? If not, you may need to ask them to do so, or hold an EGM/AGM with the new shareholder and dismiss them.
Who controls the Companies House account for the company can use the website to report the change? Normally one or more of the Directors can do this. 1 -
I don't think you can resign someone. Imagine if someone at work told you they had given in your resignation! The new owners should really ensure that all of the legal stuff is in order.

Yes I’m also a director but I’m not experienced on this and don’t want to do it wrong. I would have assumed it would be sorted with the sale but nothing seems to have happened. He hasn’t resigned0
