The model no is not on the dangerous list which surfaced last year . I have just put some stuff in there now to wash and dry.
My plan is to go on Trustpilot now and raise concerns if I can . The other thing seems to buy a new washer dryer ASAP 🙀probably Busch 🙀pricey .
How dangerous is this ?
thanks in advance

The one on the fascia doesn't matter. The door, well it might fall off soon! Just get a new door moulding, about £30.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1

Unsightly but not dangerous.1

AS said earlier, change the door mould ( re -use your own seal so no need to pay for that ) and ignore the front panel as that doesn't matter.1

Can you post a picture of the inside of that cracked door. There may well be ribs in there that are providing most of the structural integrity of the door.
(Edit: or there may be an inner structure that is fully sound)
Depending on how weakened it is, you might be able to repair the crack with epoxy resin.
But you do risk a flood if the door falls off during a wash.
A new door at £30 or so isn't much for peace of mind.
Look on eBay and other sites for a second hand door.
There is a used door here, albeit for £33.25. Scroll down to find the door or search again.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".1 -
Thanks for your replies. I forgot to update .There are no other cracks on the door. I will post more pics soon .I was assured by hotpoint that my model is not on the danger list . Fair enough .
After doing a little digging , it seems that cheaper plastic is being used these days . Annoying , and surprising for something that holds water etc. Then again we live in a greedier world now it seems .It seems best to carry on as normal and probably replace door ( subject to cost ) when/ if something does go wrong.0
