Buying a house with tie rods (underpinning?)

Options
the old house (1850s) we are due to buy has a structural engineers report stating that there were tie rods used when the property was updated 15 years ago. The engineer has stated that no movement etc is evident since.
we have our own structural survey next week so will know more, and I'm just starting to research building insurance quotes.
Would this be likely to be a no-go for future purchasers/value of property/insurance companies?

Lots of old properties have ties.  We have it on ours.  You drive along any road with old properties and you see ties in them.

Not with old properties and the right insurer.    The likes of NFU are frequently used with older properties.  Although it would depend on your type of property as to whether its an issue or not.   You probably wouldnt use your top fo the table on the comparison site budget home insurance though.
