Cheap car shampoo for Karcher?

I have only ever used a bucket, sponge, and plain cold water on a car. If you have cleaned and polished your car twice a year, then that's all you ever need. Definitely avoid pressure washers as they can damage the paint and get water in all sorts of places it would be better without.

I use this Clarke 5L Wash & Wax Car Shampoo - Machine Mart - Machine Mart
or if it's really filthy this (heavily diluted)
Clarke 5L Traffic Film Remover - Concentrate - Machine Mart - Machine Mart0 -
I use https://www.carparts4less.co.uk/p/simoniz-shampoo-wax-5litre-552996560?gclid=Cj0KCQiAvbiBBhD-ARIsAGM48bw2p7lj6iGQDF09kE_UYkAl6mQzHwg-6KryXUwyfoGCVDVj7bjKCzQaApvsEALw_wcB
Great value with added wax for paint protection. Don't use a sponge as these trap grit and cause swirl marks to the paint. Do use a pressure washer to remove any surface grit/dirt first, buckets with guards and a decent wash mitt. You should then be set to go.0 -
Never had a problem with a sponge as long as you keep it clean and don't press too hard, you have to use something.0

lot of conflicting advice on this subject. I just do what the pros do wet car, soap with mitt, power wash, dry. all from top to bottom"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0
