Slimline american fridge freezer or standard size?

We are considering a slimline american fridge freezer (70cm) in order to allow more space for the dining/living area which will be about 3m x5m approx. There is a nub either side (30cm)however where the steel beam is so I'm not sure if it would ever be possible to fit the dining table into the space prior to the nub (2.7m x1.24m) The kitchen designer has included space for a 90cm fridge freezer but I was wondering if we went for a 70cm one would 20cm make much difference for the table space? Our table measures 80 x 160 when extended. Also we are soon to be a family of 4, so I wasnt sure if we should just move the table into the living space to have a 90cm fridge. Would a 70cm fridge suffice? We were thinking of this one...

Do you have room on both sides to open the fridge doors? If there's only space on one side, a conventional FF might be more usable0

I'd go for a normal high 70cm fridge freezer. IMO 'slimline american stile' is a joke.

Hi. I've tried to attach an image. Would like the table opposite the door. Dont mind if 3 chairs on one side of the table have to sit past the steel beam. Maybe I should just put the table lengthways rather than across the room?0

Could you share the whole kitchen design, please? It's better to look in context. The while thing is pretty tight. How big is your table? I also don't understand which is 'lengthways' in your mind and which is 'across the room'
Dare I say it, but if you lost the pensinsular, you could have the same amount of storage (without an annoying corner unit) running down to the kitchen door and space for a traditional kitchen table in the centre of the room (hugely underrated, imo) or a decent sized round table to one size.Best to look at the whole design though.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

The doors at the end will be sliding doors and the other side of the beam (the living area to the front of the house) not in the drawing is 3.3 x 3m. I would prefer to not have to have the table right to the front window if it can be helped. Our table is 80cm x 160cm. It can be folded over to 80 x 80 but will probably have it extended most of the time.0 -
Something has changed since the 24th December, as you've got even less wall space. These designs aren't improving.Do you have a floorplan of downstairs please? Why so many doors? Is this an extension? Is it built?I appreciate you're trying to explain the layout, but it's pictures that really help.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I found it on the last thread, and read the last conversation and remembered. I can see now what you've done. We've got french doors at the top 🙂 and removed the back door 👍, but the kitchen is now creeping down into the middle room.I think the kitchen design is wrong, somehow. There's conversations about small dishwashers, smaller fridges etc but you're using cupboards instead of pan drawers - which hold a huge amount more. You don't have to compromise on these things. Have you had the structural engineers drawings and do you know exactly how big the piers will be to hold the steels?Davilown was on the right path last time, I think. I'm about to get my daughter to teach me to draw straight lines on the ipad. ☺️Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

The kitchen now includes a full size dishwasher, eye level oven and bigger fridge but yes it is creeping down the room somewhat. All I know is the pillars will come out 30cm either side of the room.0
