Mouse question

Hi
If I were to buy a 'Logitec V320 Cordless Mouse' for my laptop, would I be able to use it for my Desktop PC or is it exclusive to the laptop.
I suppose my questions are: Is a mouse a mouse, and is there a difference between XP mouses and vista mouses.
Any clues and advice would be appreciated.

provided they both have usb ports, a mouse is a mouse.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

As albertross said, basically! If it's a cordless mouse, there will be some sort of dongle or attachment that needs to be plugged into the computer (desktop or laptop) so that it can see the mouse - as long as that is plugged in and the mouse itself is charged up, it should work.
Au Res.,
