Hello all, brrrr it's freezing here and we could have snow/sleet later but I won't hold my breath on that.I had tearful day yesterday, no idea why, maybe due to a lot of not nice things coming up, but anyway tried to shake it off by cleaning the bedroom from ceiling to skirting...... even the mattress got hoovered ! I also decided to pull out all the boxes of stuff ( S.A.D light, massager, aromatherapy stuff etc ) from under my dressing table and clean
Finally had a really deep sleep with no scary dreams. This blummin virus has a lot to answer for !
I feel a bit chirpier today so I have put the wm on, done the first load, including the thin mattress topper ( the thick one won't fit in the wm, it'll need a bit of grape treading ) put the next load of clothes in and then there's final one of towels and bathroom mats to do. The dw will need emptying too then that's it for today, reading, TV/ films await my attention.Tea will be Chinese ready meals to celebrate Valentines day, yes I know it's tomorrow but I cba to cook todaytaff hope your infusion goes well. We are not at the same surgery so we will queue together at the big centre for our jabs and hope we don't get a jobsworth !Nelski hope you get your boiler fixed.Gers happy jab day !Tryingtcb blimey I thought I was doing well with my cleaning, but you put me to shame with the amount you are doing.Take care all, stay safe and sane.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently15 -

NAN I meant to mention it at the time and forgot!! Like you, my df and her dh got appointments at the same venue but at differing times so they just queued together, with fingers crossed, and it wasn't a problem. Not a jobsworth in sight and both jabbed at the same time. x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12

All sorted on the boiler front
Apparently I had a faulty expansion vessel....oo err missis
all done within warranty which was a relief14 -
Morning, birthday wishes to anyone with a birthday today.
The sun is out but its -3 according to the weather forecaster. I put the bedroom radiator off when we got up and opened the window a bit. When I went in to close the window it was brrrr....rad back on DB goes for a siesta after lunch.
Its mayhem here just now. Chap putting shelves up in my sewing room and then going to box in the dryer in the kitchen, the combi microwave sits in a piece of wood on the top of the dryer just now, he is going to build a cupboard and put a proper piece of worktop on.
I have cooked a gammon joint and made a pot of lentil soup with the cooking liquor, also have a loaf on, I made rice pudding yesterday, it could have done with a bit more milk in it, I had forgotten how much rice swells. note to self use more milk!!
We will have some of the soup with bread for lunch and tonight its chicken and veg casserole. I occasionally buy half a dozen ready meals from Wiltshire farm foods. I know by the time I have sorted my sewing room and the kitchen I will be too crackered to cook, so a dive in the freezer, instant supper. I have sponge pudding we can have for dessert.

all done within warranty which was a reliefYeeha! Hope it's the same for Camelot's family.Shopping done and vaccine too. No queue at the Leisure Centre and very friendly staff everywhere, even in the car park. Sitting out the 15 minutes afterward was time to listen to music and enjoy the rest. I took the vaccinator a wee chocolate rabbit as a thank youTA - I can't paint or draw either. DM has done some good stuff in the past using oils. Every wall in her place has her work all over it, apart from the bathroom. She's finding watercolours a challenge, though the pencils have been useful she needs proper paints. We'll see how it works out.13 -
Afternoon everyone
Just had a very nice fishfinger sandwich for lunch. Little one is having a nap before DD picks her up about 1. She wanted to go outside in the snow this morning so we got wrapped up - there was an icy cold wind so we were only out for 10 minutes. She was happy because she'd said hello to all the snowmen!
I didn't intend going back out but dad's laptop isn't working so I'll go down and see if I can sort it - he has nothing to do without it as he listens to audio books on it.
Hopefully it will be something simple.
DD in Sweden rang last night - she now has her visa to allow her to move to Germany - she's hoping to go on 7th March, so not long now.
Keep warm everyone x12 -
Afternoon all,Well we too had our jabs last night, really well organised at a local health centre. Arms are a bit sore but apart from that ok.We had an early awakening at 6.45 when DBigdog sneaked upstairs, I'm sure I shut the door last night, unless DS went down after. Anyway after she'd shoved her cold wet nose in my face and looked out of the window for a bit, we managed another hourI had a nice long chat with my BF, she sent a text asking how the Covid recovery was going. I couldnt be bothered with typing on my phone so rang her- she was really pleased to hear from me.We nipped into town for a few bits of food for tonight, and I treated myself to a cardmaking magazine so may investigate that later. I'm quite interested in watercolours too, and did my backgrounds for my Xmas cards. Not much good at the actual painting thoughRuby hope all went well yesterday xTake care all xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
