I think you can get paid if you register as a childminder, but it's not straightforward.
There is an older thread here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5582987/paying-grandparents-for-childcare discussing a similar situation2022. 2% MF challenge. £730/30001 -

If you are under retirement age and not working and the children are under 12, you can claim what's called Specified Adult Childcare Credits, NI credits that boost your pension entitlement. Look on the gov.uk website.1

Is your daughter already claiming tax credits?
No new claims are possible now.0 -
@sheramber no she's not but was hoping on claiming for universal credit and childcare if possible0

As stated above you need to be a registered childminder
https://www.understandinguniversalcredit.gov.uk/new-to-universal-credit/children-and-childcare/
You must be paying childcare costs to registered or approved childcare providers.
This generally means the childcare provider is registered with one of these organisations:
- England – OFSTED
- Scotland – The Care Inspectorate
- Wales – Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales (CSSIW)
Approved childcare can include care provided in school or in another place by a child minder, play-scheme, nursery or club. Your approved childcare provider should be able to provide you with a registration number.
