Hi, can anyone tell me what this Volvo car thingie is called?
We have this thing but my father has broken it so we need a new one... it's something to do with the tyres and the we need one for when we take the car to the garage, but as I have no idea what it's called I can't get a new one!
Can anyone help?
Here's some pics of the broken thingie... any help is MUCH appreciated.

You will *have* to go to the Volvo dealer *if* they are standard Volvo locking nuts, and it will probably be expensive. Do you really need one to get the wheels off? They are usually made like a key so only one will get those locking nuts off. I got a card with my locking nut key in case I lost the key so I could re-order the key.
It's not a problem anyway as a good tyre place should be able to remove the locking nuts with a little difficulty.
It may be easier to buy an entire new locking wheel nut set which will come with the appropriate key. Try Volvo first though.0 -
1 day the wheels gonna have to come off, better to have the key than sat there without it
go to ford before volvo, ford wont charge anywhere near as much i'd think, ford have a set of these for removing when the keys busted (only 13 combis i think), maybe best if they remove the old ones and you get a new set/key, if some muppet tyre fitter has torqued them up to tight they wont be much cop in a breakdown0 -
(mandas OH)
i have 10 of them myself, handy things0 -
If you want to save money, go to your local volvo dealer, and ask nicely if they'll undo the locking nuts with their master key. You can then buy either a new set of locking wheel nuts (don't lose or break the key this time!) or just get four new plain wheel nuts for 60p each. If you're really tight you could ask the mechanics if they have any 'knocking around' as the invariably do. Turn on the charm!0
