Travel Agent avoiding refund

Options
We booked a UK lodge break with a local travel agent and paid the amount in full when we made the booking.  When the latest lockdown was announced which would cover our travel date, I contacted the Travel Agency who advised they would refund when they received the cancellation invoice from  Hoeseasons.  Weeks went by and we heard nothing about the refund.  I contacted them again to be told that the invoice was only cancelled on our travel date and it would be another three weeks before they could do anything.  Still to date we have had no communication from them and no idea when we should receive our money back.  I paid via my debit card can I raise this with my bank?  The value was £559?

Yes you can raise with your bank.
they’ll want to know details and dates of everything that as happened regarding the refund.
there is no guarantee this route will be quicker.
how long has it been? Refund are taking a while during the pandemic
