Virgin money offer

Just need to vent my frustration at Virgin. I thought I’d switch partly to take advantage of the wine offer and also as a savings account which was ok. Had some issues and have now hung on to the phone with appalling music for about 5 hours in total. Thought I’d give it one last chance today. Got cut off twice due to the time going to 59 mins. Still no resolution. the live chat is worthless as they cant actually do anything and told me to ring in again. I am now out of the offer time and although a pleasant man on the iPhone said they would probably accept that I was in the right time frame for the offer, there of course was no guarantee. I really cannot face hanging on again. Has anyone actually managed to get the offer or get through on the phone with a successful resolution?

Yes, I rang 0800 678 3350 on 3rd February at about 2pm and got through after about 30 minutes, the first person I spoke to opened the account and started the switch.0

Sounds like you were one of the very few unfortunate ones who were eligible for the offer yet didn't manage to sign up. Too late now, but if you get stuck on a switch offer in future, try to locate the offer thread on this forum which will invariably exist. More often than not, there's someone on this forum who can help with some issues.
