Dahua NVR 4104HSP 4KS2

I can no longer get the Smart PSS on my desktop or my imou lite app on my phone to link up with my CCTV.

When I try on my app it says no device found so I have deleted the app and then reinstalled it but still the same issue so I deleted the devices of my app and now I cannot re add them.

The smart pss has red dots against the long number 192.168.1.1** and after clicking on it nothing happens.

I have just tried the internet browser to connect to my CCTV the http://192.168.1.108/ web page is not found.

Everything was working fine a week or so ago and the only thing I have done is to re boot my router which has never disrupted the cctv in the past.

I am unsure on what to do to fix this issue and hoping to can help with step by step instructions as I have tried to see what I can do via the instructions but unsure of it all.

Thanks

It may be that the IP address has changed, you'll need to look in the router at the "DHCP Tables/Log/List" or "connected devices" or whatever your router calls it to find the new address.  However if the CCTV was set up properly in the first place the IP wouldn't change, but if the software's been upgraded it may have defaulted to a dynamic IP.  Which could be 1 of 250 odd addresses.

The CCTV was set up 2 years ago by a CCTV company and this is the 1st time I've had this issue.
I've e mailed Dahua also so I will try and get my head round all the great advice over the next few days.
I will report back with the out come.
    Thanks again

Not familiar with that brand of NVR but looking at the pics it appears to be one of the Chinese generic Linux ones sold under dozens of different names like Sannce, Anke, Zosi etc. Have you looked at the Network Set Up screen for the Network Status, does it say something like "Healthy Network" or "Gateway Unreachable". Network Video Recorder User’s Manual (dahuasecurity.com)

Does the device have any sort of display output to connect a monitor?

I have a Sannce NVR, the case looks physically identical to yours from the front, have a look at the back panel, assuming yours is a POE system you should probably see as well as the *Camera LAN ports, a USB mouse port, the WAN port for your router, VGA & HDMI ports and a Jack Plug Sound port. A wired mouse should work & maybe a wireless mouse but only one that doesn't require software.
*Assuming it's not a Wireless system

Forget to ask - was the NVR set up with a User Name and Password - the default  factory setting is usually user name Admin and password either Admin again or leave blank.

Yes I understand the issue that remote viewing no longer works, this does not necessarily mean that the fault lies with the connection between your phone/PC and the router, for remote viewing to work your NVR  also needs to be successfully connected to the Internet via your router. Have you a spare spare wired mouse you can plug into the back of the NVR and see the TV while operating the mouse? Or if the TV and NVR are in different rooms have you a Monitor you can attach to the NVR?

The problem with the manuals for these devices is that the diagrams of screen menus and instructions of how to access these menus are often not exactly in tune with how your device actually works, however you can usually muddle through.

Before faffing about with the app on your phone/PC I would suggest checking first that the NVR is connected to the Router (n.b. viewing on the TV, recording and playing back footage etc on the TV does not require the NVR to be connected to the Router).
If you attach a mouse and right click you should be able to see various menus overlaying the camera views, look for one related to Network and check whether the NVR is showing as on line. If it's not on line, turning off DHCP on the NVR Network menu then turning it on again can sometimes get the NVR to connect to the Router Network.

Firstly apologies to everyone and a very BIG thank you for all your time and help.

The IP address had changed and I didn’t notice until yesterday when I was trying to find this in my CCTV menu "DHCP Tables/Log/List” which I never did find the DHCP thing.

The Ethernet cable was plugged back into the wrong port (a camera port) after I had issues with the Wi-Fi extender and I only noticed again yesterday.

I now have remote access to the CCTV via my phone app and the Smart PSS on my desktop.

I can now stop getting stressed and get on with other stuff.

    Thanks again everyone
