Bank charges

I'm living abroad and when withdrawawibg from Atm 400 usd I get charged approximately £9 which is non sterling transaction fee, we were also charged £1 non sterling cash fee. This has happened for years but recently I've noticed the non sterling cash fee has stopped. Is this because they shouldn't have been charging me this? Can I reclaim it if this is the case?

I wouldn't interpret that as signifying any actionable wrongdoing on their behalf, no - IMHO it's at least as likely that the account Ts & Cs have changed, but if you say which bank and account it is, together with where you're making the withdrawals (USA?) and the operator of the ATM(s), then someone may be able to offer specific input.
If you've literally been doing this 'for years', why not use a local account where you are instead of a UK one that will have cost you a fortune in conversion charges and fees?0 -
Which bank?
You have to remember that there can be 2 parts to the charges.
One your banks for the currency conversion & the other any cost levied by the atm for using a non local card.Life in the slow lane0
