Hello,
This doesn't really have anything to do with Covid or not.
I booked a property on Vrbo with the comfort that it said if I cancelled the booking before a certain date that I would get a full refund. The booking was for May so I had plenty of time to decide.  There was two charges on my credit card -- one was a service fee (which has been refunded) and the other was about 500 euros for a security deposit.  I have sent my credit card transactions and emailed Vrbo every week since the beginning of January and all I get is -- "we are working with the account manager".  They say I'll get my refund back but the longer this goes on the more worried I am getting.

Can I go to an Ombudsman or raise the complaint somewhere?
Regards

Here is spiel from the booking page.

There is no Ombudsman and VRBO are in effect a middleman, the contract is normally with the property owner, and it is quite possible that is where the delay is. If you booked less than 120 days ago, foolish perhaps but useful if you want to claim against a debit card, request a chargeback. If you booked more than 120 days ago, it needs to have been a credit, not a debit card, and ask the bank for a section 75 claim. Your problem may be compounded by the fact a refund has not been denied just delayed, but this is probably your only option

Thanks for your advice. Not so much for calling me foolish -- I'm moving house and you don't know what situation I had to make this booking.
